ChemPALs hosts an quarterly information session to introduce undergraduate students to chemistry research. We cover topics including: the types of chemistry research in our department, a day-in-the-life of a researcher, how to get into a lab, how to navigate lab websites, and other chemistry research opportunities beyond UCSD.

Resume Workshop - Spring 2026 - 4/16 5pm

ChemPALs hosts a quarterly resume workshop. We start with a brief overview of what to include on a resume, tips and tricks for successful resumes, and how to tailor resumes for different positions (i.e. undergrad research, grad school applications, job/internship applications). Then mentees are paired with graduate mentors to review their current resume, or help write their first draft!

Intro to Graduate School - Spring 2026 - 4/23 5pm

New workshop! Learn about the difference between a masters and PhD, how to apply for them, and if they are right for you. Meet with a panel of current graduate students to learn about their experiences and ask questions.

End of year social banquet - Spring 2026 - 5/28 5pm

Exclusive dinner with all current ChemPAL members only to celebrate the end of the year! Awards ceremony for best mentor and mentee, and the opportunity to sign up for next year with the same pairing.
